The Dallas Mavericks had a busy first night of free agency as they made two big moves.

The first big move was re-signing Kyrie Irving to a three-year contract with a player option after the second season. The second big move was Dallas signing a sharpshooting guard to a two-year contract.

This will be his third stint with the Mavericks, and he had tremendous success in his first two stints with the team.

NBA legend names newly-signed Mavericks guard as top shooter in league

If you haven't figured it out yet, this player is Seth Curry, the brother of 4-time NBA Champion Stephen Curry.

Seth is one of the greatest shooters that Luka Doncic has ever played with, and the Mavericks will benefit from having one of the most consistent shooters in the league playing next to Doncic once again.

In his two seasons with the Mavs, Seth averaged 12.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.9 steals per game all while shooting 43.9 percent from downtown. Shooters of Seth's caliber don't come around often, and the Mavericks have him locked up for the next two years.

In a recent interview conducted by Complex Sports, Steph had high praise for Seth. Complex Sports asked Steph who the top three shooters in the NBA were excluding himself, and he listed Seth, Damian Lillard, and Klay Thompson.

This is an expected answer, as they are brothers, but it doesn't take away from the fact that Steph isn't lying. Seth isn't only one of the best shooters in the league right now. He's also one of the greatest shooters by percentage ever.

Seth ranks sixth in all-time three-point percentage with 43.5 percent. The only active players ahead of him are Joe Harris and Luke Kennard. That is extremely impressive, and the Mavericks picking him up shouldn't be overlooked.

He'll have the chance to compete for the sixth-man spot in Dallas next season and give the Mavs the best shooter they've had since he left. Dallas and Golden State are also due for some great battles, as the Curry brothers can square off in the same conference once again.

Stephen and Seth Curry are two of the greatest shooters of all time, and it's great to see Stephen show his brother some love in that interview. Seth's three-point shooting ability isn't talked about enough, and fans will love having a consistent shooter back in the lineup.

We'll have you covered with all the latest news surrounding Seth Curry and the Dallas Mavericks this offseason, so stay tuned.
