2. Dedication to improvement

One thing that stands out about Grant Williams is his ability to improve each year. Williams has improved his points per game, rebounds, and work ethic over the past four seasons. During his first two seasons in Boston, he averaged 4.0 points and tallied 2.7 rebounds.

Last season, he eclipsed those numbers. He averaged 8.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. His shooting improved as he shot 45.4 percent last season and 39.5 percent from behind the 3-point line.

Williams also constantly talks about wanting to improve as a player for himself and the team.

During Mavs media day he expressed his commitment to continue to improve.

""This team is asking me to be a guy they can look to in consistency, and that's what I'm trying to put my mark on. I couldn't less how everything else goes. I want to make sure that I do my job for this team.""

Williams also shows his dedication in practice. He has already been labeled as someone who stays after practice to get extra work in.

His ceiling can only go up from here. If Williams continues to improve, it will help Dallas in various areas on the court. WIlliams' commitment to excellence is something every player needs to follow.

Williams is still only 24 years old, and he is just getting started in the NBA. He has already solidified himself as an elite role player but he could take it to the next level in Dallas.
