7. Daniel Gafford

Will Daniel Gafford be the Dallas Mavericks' third scorer alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving?

The Dallas Mavericks' star duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving has been one of the best scoring duos in the NBA this season, but outside of Doncic and Irving, Dallas has a plethora of players who could be the third scorer.

It used to be Tim Hardaway Jr., and at one point, Jason Kidd said that it was trending towards P.J. Washington being the third scorer. Washington has struggled offensively since this, so could Daniel Gafford be the Mavs' third scorer?

This isn't a role that he necessarily needs to fill, as his game is highly dependent on Doncic or Irving setting him up, but Gafford providing consistent scoring for this team could be huge in the playoffs.

Gafford's ability to finish through traffic is unmatched, and his soft hands and dunking ability make him a force to be reckoned with in the paint. He can completely change a game with his energy and defense as well, and he could be one of Dallas' X-factors in the playoffs.

Gafford's dominance in the paint could make or break a series and we have seen him take over a game by himself. The Mavs don't need Gafford to be their third scorer, but the Mavs are at their best when getting Gafford involved is a priority.
