Predicting the Dallas Mavericks 2023-24 record based on their schedule
By Brian Sweet
April
April Record: 5-2
Wins: Rockets x2, Hawks, Thunder, Pistons
Losses: Warriors, Heat
The Mavericks will wrap up their season with five wins in the final month. They will beat the Rockets twice while also getting wins against the Hawks, Thunder, and the Pistons. Unfortunately, they will lose once again to the Warriors and the Heat. I do predict that the Mavericks will make the playoffs this season.
End-of-season record: 51-30 (One game is unannounced because of Play-In Tournament)
If there is one thing to take away from this article, it's that it will not be an easy task to get back to the Western Conference playoffs. Tons of teams in the Western Conference got a lot better during the offseason.
The moves the Mavericks made this offseason will help them compete for a playoff spot. There will also be tons of ups and downs with the Mavericks this season. There are a lot of new faces on this roster and it will take some time to get the chemistry down.
They won't go 73-9 like the Warriors did back in 2015-2016. They don't have that kind of chemistry. However, I do think that the Mavericks will improve their record from last season. I can't wait to see how this team does as the regular season kicks off in October.
