February and March
February Record: 8-3
Wins: Thunder, 76ers, Nets, Knicks, Wizards, Pacers, Raptors, Suns
Losses: Cavaliers, Spurs, Bucks
Things look a lot better once we get into the middle of February. I think that the Mavericks will realize that they need to improve the roster at the trade deadline. I don't know which players will be traded or who the Mavericks will get, I just know that if someone good becomes available, they will swoop in and get them.
The momentum from the trade deadline will get the Mavericks eight wins in the month of February. They will beat the Thunder, Nets, Knicks, Wizards, Pacers, and the Raptors again. They will also get revenge for the loss on Christmas Day to the Suns as well.
The only losses I see happening this month are from the Cavaliers, the Spurs, and the Bucks. I think San Antonio's young squad will have figured out a game plan to beat the Mavericks by now and will at least get one win against them this season. The Bucks will also probably want their revenge for the Mavericks beating them earlier in the season as well.
March Record: 9-6
Wins: Pacers, Pistons, Thunder, Spurs, Jazz x2, Nuggets, Kings, Bulls
Losses: Celtics, Heat, Kings, Rockets, Warriors, Kings
In the month of March, the Mavericks will have a rough go of it, as they will play a bunch of teams that they struggled with earlier in 2023. The Celtics, Heat, Kings, Rockets, and Warriors will all probably beat the Mavericks in the month of March, but I do think that the Dallas Mavericks will split the two games against the Kings this month.
Luckily, the Mavericks have some very easy teams on their schedule, such as the Pistons, Pacers, Thunder, Spurs, and Bulls. The Mavericks will probably also get an upset victory against the reigning NBA Champions in a very closely contested game. It will probably come down to the final two minutes between both teams. It will also be nice to see the Jazz lose twice to the Mavericks as well.
Record after February and March: 46-28
