7. Not eligible to be traded yet: Dante Exum

Dante Exum has been one of the biggest surprises for the Dallas Mavericks so far this season. Dallas signed Exum to a two-year deal this summer, and many fans were confused by this move as there was no buzz surrounding Exum, and Dallas already had enough guards.

Exum had also been out of the NBA for multiple seasons, and it seemed there were some better options on the free-agent market. After 22 games, it's clear that Exum belongs in the NBA as he has turned into one of the Mavericks' key pieces.

This season, Exum is averaging 6.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.5 steals per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. Exum is a master of doing all the little things, and although his stats on the box score oftentimes don't pop out, he passes the eye test with ease.

Exum takes tough defensive matchups on a nightly basis, hustles for loose balls, makes the right pass, and scores well in transition consistently. He also has a great feel for the game and makes those around him better.

Those things shouldn't be taken lightly, and Exum is someone who will be key for Dallas down the stretch. Exum is currently not eligible to be traded, but that will change on Friday.
