3. Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Last week's rank: 3

Jaime Jaquez Jr. has torched the league this past week and made fans know his name on Christmas Day after a legendary performance.

Jaquez Jr. has been on a tear all season long, and it was no different this past week as he absolutely torched the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas. He dropped an all-time performance of 31 points and 10 rebounds.

The Sixers never stood a chance without their superstar center Joel Embiid. Jaquez Jr. took full advantage of his absence, attacking the paint any chance he had. Jaquez Jr. even got to the foul line eight times as the Sixers were forced to foul him.

Fans were finally aware of what the Heat forward was capable of, and it was no different in their last game against the Warriors. Jaquez Jr. cashed in 17 points and had an additional six assists on the night.

Jaquez Jr. has made the gap from the three to two look a lot less after a strong week. It would be hard for him to overtake either Chet Holmgren or Victor Wembanyama, but it's not impossible after seeing what he did this past week.

Jaquez Jr. will have multiple marquee games next week to inch closer to Wemby and Chet. This includes a game on national television vs the Los Angeles Lakers. If Jaquez Jr. has yet another amazing performance, it might be just enough to justify putting him closer in the rankings.
