After battling with the Los Angeles Lakers in five games, Nikola Jokic is well on his way to winning yet another NBA Championship. The former Finals MVP has once again reached a new gear now that the playoffs have begun but he could be facing his toughest opponent yet.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have shattered expectations all season long with their rising star Anthony Edwards. In Game 1, the Timberwolves broke the hearts of many Nuggets fans by stealing a game on the road in dominant fashion.

Adjustments will be made before Game 2, but if the Wolves proved anything it's that they are here to stay for a long time. Edwards dominated all night with a near 40-point performance and proved why he could be the face of the league in a few short years.

Jokic will have his work cut out for him but if fans have realized anything over the last year it's that Jokic will win no matter the cost.

The Timberwolves will likely be one of the toughest opponents the Nuggets face this postseason but fans shouldn't worry because they still have Jokic. Jokic dominated his first-round matchup with the Lakers despite Anthony Davis playing some great individual defense on the two-time MVP.

However, with Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns being the individual matchup that Jokic will likely see for the remainder of the series, it could make for some problems on his part.
