5. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Last rank: 4

Obviously, all the MVP and NBA award ballots have been submitted but if the first round of the playoffs could dictate the last few weeks of the MVP race, Giannis Antetokounmpo would have sadly dropped in the MVP race.

Not only did Antetokounmpo miss the entire first round of the playoffs with a lower leg injury, but the Milwaukee Bucks failed to advance after being defeated by the Indiana Pacers in six games. With the Buck's regular season failures and once again being bounced in a first-round upset, one must wonder what's next for Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.

With Antetokounmpo healthy and ready to play for Milwaukee by the start of the first round it's hard to imagine the Bucks getting upset once again but winning a championship was far out of the question.

Milwaukee's regular season troubles far exceeded what fans had hoped for when they made the trade for Damian Lillard and furthermore, it leaves their future in serious doubt. The Bucks will need to make major changes to their roster and that could mean giving up one of their key role players.

Despite all this, Antetokounmpo still managed to have one of his best seasons in his young career. The Greek Freak dazzled with career-high numbers across the board and was largely the only reason Milwaukee maintained a top-three seed for the majority of the long season.
