On Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks took a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road, and after climbing the mountain and battling back after being down by 18 points, the Mavs got the win.

Both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving hit big shots down the stretch, but no shot was bigger than Doncic's game-winning step-back 3-pointer over Rudy Gobert that anyone in the stadium could have seen what was coming.

Doncic and Gobert have an individual rivalry that has been going on for multiple seasons now, but no moment encompasses Doncic's domination of Gobert like the game-winning 3-pointer he made over him in the Western Conference Finals.

Luka Doncic tells Rudy Gobert 'you can't (expletive) guard me' after game-winner

After Doncic drilled the three over him to take a two-point lead with three seconds remaining, Doncic was letting Gobert hear it as he went to the other side of the floor. It's unclear exactly what Doncic said, but some speculate that he said "you can't (expletive) guard me."

After the game, Doncic joined "Inside the NBA" on TNT and detailed the shot and his matchup with Gobert, and Doncic said that he was a little surprised that Gobert switched onto him. Doncic said that "(he) can't move fast, but I can move faster than him," and the TNT crew loved to hear this.

Karma came back at Gobert in this game as he punched Doncic in the chest and was called for a take foul earlier in the game, and Doncic triumphing over Gobert continues. It did not look like Gobert was going for the ball at all on that play, and Doncic had some words for him following that foul as well.

Doncic has exposed Gobert in open space and hunted this switch for nearly his entire career, and Doncic once again got the last laugh as the Mavericks took a 2-0 series lead following a bucket on Gobert.

Doncic is finally looking like he is healthy, and Dallas has to continue destroying the Timberwolves when they are in drop coverage and when they switch everything.
