Notorious Luka Doncic hater switches sides after insane triple-double

After the Dallas Mavericks' 147-97 onslaught over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, there has been an increased amount of buzz in the national media about Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving after they've shown the ability to lead Dallas to a solid 12-8 start.

Doncic and Irving are having some insane offensive performances together, and have done a much better job at playing off of one another this year. Nonetheless, Dallas has still had their fair share of deficiencies as a team that are preventing them from reaching contention.

However, the national media has routinely attempted to criticize Doncic and Irving when things are going wrong in Dallas as we saw last year, as most talking heads have failed to realize what the Mavericks' real biggest issues have been over the past few seasons. For instance, Dallas' rebounding and defense from their pieces around Doncic and Irving would be much more fair points of criticism.

As expected though, one notorious hater of Luka Doncic and the Mavericks is now singing the praises of Doncic after his obscene first-half triple-double against the Jazz. Skip Bayless, co-host of UNDISPUTED on FS1, went on to call Doncic “The best player in the NBA” in a recent segment of UNDISPUTED.

It’s hilarious to see Bayless change his opinion over Doncic and the Mavericks after he’s made iron-clad statements in the past against Doncic and Dallas. Bayless has a rough history with Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, so it makes it even sweeter that he has flipped the script on his opinions over the Mavericks completely.

If the Mavericks continue to gather more wins and Doncic is playing at an MVP level, then more talking heads will continue to hop on the bandwagon.

That being said, don’t be surprised if you encounter more fake Mavericks fans in the near future, but so long as Dallas continues to rack up wins, then the Mavericks will certainly take the positive publicity.
