The Dallas Mavericks begin the regular season tomorrow against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs, and Dallas is going into this game with some great news.

Luka Doncic and Jaden Hardy practiced fully on Monday, Dallas and Green agreed on a three-year extension, and the Mavs looked much better in their final preseason game. Dallas struggled through their first three games of the preseason, but Friday night's game was a breath of fresh air for the team.

Even though preseason games don't matter, a win is a win, and there were plenty of bright spots in that game.

Josh Green shares thoughts about Shaq's wild Mavericks prediction

Dereck Lively II looked like the starting center of the future and Green played like the player that every fan knew he could be. He was playing with aggressiveness, confidence, and efficiency.

If Green can play like this all season, Dallas has found their third (potential) star of the future next to Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Along with the high hopes for Green, there have been some high hopes for the team.

NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal predicted that the Mavericks will win the 2024 NBA Finals while Thunder guard Josh Giddey predicted that Green will win the Most Improved Player Award.

Giddey's prediction seems achievable, especially after what Green did on Friday, but Shaq's prediction may be a bit harder to achieve. The media as a whole seems to be doubting Dallas, and O'Neal's prediction shows that there are some positive vibes surrounding this team from some.

Green spoke about O'Neal's wild prediction after Dallas' game and Friday night and showed confidence in his team.

"I think we belong there and I think we have the team to do it," Green said about the 2024 NBA Finals.

Green knows that making the Finals isn't easy, but his confidence shows that his eyes are on the end goal of winning it all. Dallas hasn't won a championship since 2011, and getting back to the Finals could happen sooner rather than later.

We'll have you covered with all the latest news on the Dallas Mavericks and Josh Green, so stay tuned.
