Luka Doncic stole the show for Dallas as he finished with 41 points and zero turnovers. He battled with Dillon Brooks all game long, but the defensive-minded wing couldn't slow down Doncic.

Kyrie Irving also excelled in this game, as he finished with 27 points and five assists. Irving took his game to the next level in the second half, continuously proving that he is a force to be reckoned with in the fourth quarter.

Despite the Mavs' positive start, some of the media still throws plenty of negativity at the team, and more specifically, at Doncic and Kidd.

Kidd is having a great year of coaching so far, and the vibe of the team is much better compared to last season. Dallas is much better in the clutch this season, consequently throwing away the narrative that Doncic and Irving couldn't get it done in the clutch together.

After the game, Kidd was asked about how Luka and Kyrie finish games, and he didn't hold back in his answer.

"Maybe it's the things that you guys thought should have happened day one, is that they should be successful right off the bat," Kidd said about the Doncic-Irving duo. "And it takes time. Failing is alright."

Kidd continued about Doncic and Irving's improvement in the clutch and talked about how the media made their clutch struggles from last year into a "big deal," later saying that "you're not making a big deal about it [Doncic and Irving in the clutch] this year because (expletive) is going good."

Coach Kidd then urged the media to "write some positive (expletive)."

Kidd ended his postgame presser by saying, "let's see some positive stuff on some positive people that are doing their job on a nightly basis."

Jason Kidd did not hold back on some of the media's nonstop negativity, and he showed some passion for himself and his players. Dallas' next game is on Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
