Anunoby just wrapped up a season that saw him voted to the All-Defensive Second Team and put up solid numbers across the board. While the Raptors weren’t able to get into the playoffs, Anunoby showed off his value, and Toronto reportedly wanted three first-round picks for him at the deadline.

Jaden Hardy showed some promise in Dallas this season, as he’s looking like one of the steals of the 2022 NBA Draft. However, on a Mavericks team looking to compete, he likely won’t earn a ton of minutes.

Davis Bertans would simply be in this trade to match salaries, while the real prize would be the 10th overall pick. If Toronto decides to hit the reset button, they would almost certainly look to add a second pick in this year’s draft.

The Mavericks would also ship out another future first-round pick in this hypothetical trade, adding extra sweetener to the pot in an attempt to pry Anunoby from the Raptors.
