The Dallas Mavericks still have an open roster spot, and there is a flurry of moves that will likely happen before training camp.

It looks like they'll waive or trade JaVale McGee, and it also looks like Tim Hardaway Jr. could be on the move as there have been several rumors about him getting traded. Of course they'll sign two more players (one two-way contract and one normal contract) to deals, but could they trade for a new player as well?

Dallas has been in trade rumors for a new center multiple times this summer, and it seems like they have their eyes on Clint Capela of the Atlanta Hawks. They had their eyes on Phoenix Suns star center Deandre Ayton, but it doesn't look like Phoenix wants to deal Ayton anymore.

The easiest way to acquire Capela would be as the third team in a three-team trade, as they could avoid giving up one of their top assets, but the route to Capela is unclear.

It seems like they have the frameworks of their roster laid out, but nothing is guaranteed in the NBA offseason. We've seen teams make trades in all months of the offseason, and right when you think things can't get any crazier, they always find a way to do so.

In one mock trade, the Mavericks ended up trading one of their young assets, but it landed them a former MVP to pair with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Here we grade the trade for all three teams involved in this three-team blockbuster and discuss why or why not each team should make this trade.
