6. Backup - Drew Eubanks

Not a name most casual NBA fans would know, Drew Eubanks has turned himself into a quality piece at the center position during his time with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Eubanks caught on with the Trail Blazers last season when he signed a 10-day deal. His extremely reliable play eventually helped him earn a full-time spot on the team.

This past season, he was on a standard deal in Portland and appeared in 78 games, starting 28 of them due to an injury to Jusuf Nurkic. And Eubanks made sure to make the most of his minutes.

The big man played 20.3 minutes per contest for Portland, averaging 6.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 64.1% from the field. He also shot 38.9% from distance but only attempted a total of 18 threes all season (7-for-18).

At 26 years old, Eubanks will be heading into his sixth NBA season next year, and with Portland looking to put a solid team around Damian Lillard, they will likely look to bring him back.

However, he is an unrestricted free agent, meaning Eubanks will be free to sign wherever he wants, and if the Mavericks can offer him a solid role in their center rotation, maybe he’d be intrigued.

At the very least, Eubanks would be a solid, low-cost option for the Mavericks to add to their center rotation, and he’s more than capable of being the primary backup on a solid team.
