The dream starting 5 for Dallas Mavericks 5 years from now
By Noah Weber
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo
It's already been reported that Giannis Antetokounmpo's future in Milwaukee is uncertain.
Now imagine him and Luka Doncic running the Western Conference for years to come. Antetokounmpo has two more years guaranteed on his contract, and the Mavs could swoop in and form one of the best duos in the NBA by signing him.
Kyrie Irving also has a player option in this same summer, so landing Antetokounmpo is easier said than done, but playing alongside Doncic in Dallas would almost guarantee them to contend for the NBA Finals annually.
Over 10 years in the NBA, Antetokounmpo averages 22.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. He has turned into one of the most dominant players in the NBA on both ends of the floor over the last few years, and game planning to play against him and Doncic would be a nightmare for opposing coaches.
Antetokounmpo is so special because he can lock down almost anyone on defense and has one of the most unstoppable games on offense. He can get to the basket whenever he wants and can play make some when needed as well.
Antetokounmpo is only 28 years old, and in five years he will be 33 years old. He and Doncic would dominate the NBA in every way, and the young players around them would complement their games perfectly.
