Full lineup breakdown

Luka Doncic is a ball-dominant playmaker who is built to be the offensive engine of a championship-caliber team. In turn, the Dallas Mavericks need to put shooting, defense, and a tiny bit of playmaking around him.

That’s exactly what this dream lineup provides:

PG: Luka Doncic

SG: Jrue Holiday

SF: Bruce Bowen

PF: Serge Ibaka

C: Hakeem Olajuwon

Holiday is a defensive mastermind who could guard the best guard on opposing teams while also nailing his threes and acting as a secondary playmaker.

Bowen is the ultimate 3-and-D player and is extremely low maintenance. All he would need to do it play elite defense and nail his open threes.

Ibaka was one of the league’s best defenders when he was at his best and can hit his open threes, too. His length and athleticism would fit perfectly at the power forward spot.

Lastly, Olajuwon would be the defensive anchor Doncic and the Mavericks need, also acting as the second part of an elite scoring punch next to Doncic. And again, the pick-n-roll with Doncic and Olajuwon might be the best in NBA history.

Make sure to let us know who you would have chosen to pair Doncic with in this dream lineup format.
