1. Luka Doncic requests a trade

This is the ultimate disaster for the Dallas Mavericks. The one thing they need to avoid at all costs. Losing Luka Doncic would be one of the worst things that has ever happened to the franchise.

Both of the previous potential disasters could lead to this outcome becoming a reality, too, as they would both mean the Mavericks have taken another inexplicable step back.

If Kyrie Irving were to get himself in trouble and miss games, Doncic would have to carry an absurdly heavy load and would once again be left without a co-star.

After their failed attempt to pair him with Kristaps Porzingis and their failure to retain Jalen Brunson, he probably wouldn’t be too happy with Irving failing to stay on the court.

And if the Mavericks miss the playoffs next year, it could be one of the final straws for Doncic, who probably already isn’t too happy with them missing the postseason this past year.

The Slovenian star just wants to win. He plays with a constant competitive fire and very clearly doesn’t care about anything else but winning. If he doesn’t even get a chance to do that on the highest level, he could grow tired of Dallas.
