Does Bleacher Report hypothetical trade make sense for Dallas Mavericks and Raptors?

B/R dropped a list of hypothetical trades to get stars back to the playoffs, and they had the Mavericks acquire OG Anunoby to play next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in Dallas. See the particulars below.

There would be plenty of stipulations on the picks. Assuming Dallas picks tenth in 2023, they would owe the Knicks their 2024 first-round pick with another top-ten protection. If that pick does not convey, Dallas would not be able to trade their 2026 first-rounder, so that pick would move to 2027. There are a lot of moving parts, but it all results in two first-rounders, Josh Green, and Tim Hardaway Jr. for OG.

It would be a massive swing for Dallas. They would be giving up the remainder of their first-round picks to get the 6’7 wing. Anunoby is exactly what the Mavericks need, but there would be plenty of risk. If things did not work, the Mavericks would not have the assets to change things up.

Toronto likely got better offers at the trade deadline. They could flip Josh Green for a first-round pick and Tim Hardaway Jr. has some value, but this package feels a bit light for Toronto to accept given what they have been offered in the past for OG Anunoby.
