The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat 114-108 at the American Airlines Center on Friday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Mavs' defense was awful on the stretch leading up to last night's game, and this win over the Heat was a big step in the right direction after a disappointing loss to the Indiana Pacers just two nights before.

Mavs star Luka Doncic continued his dominance last night, as he finished with 35 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and one steal while shooting 12-24 from the field and 7-13 from downtown.

Doncic started this game slowly, but he turned it on in the second half to help propel the Mavs to a win. He was hitting tough shots, getting to the bucket, and ultimately controlling the game. Despite Doncic playing at an elite level, most of the chatter after the game was criticizing his playstyle rather than giving him his flowers for helping his team secure a tough win.

Former Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons gave his take about Doncic on Friday, and it wasn't necessarily something that Dallas fans want to hear.

"He's mesmerizing with the basketball," Parsons said. "But as a teammate, it's a little exhausting watching the same (expletive) over and over again."

Parsons' statement here was talking about how ball-dominant Doncic is, and how he doesn't get others involved as much as he should. Parsons then talked about how he thinks this is the best team that Doncic has ever had, and he suggested that he should use his teammates more.

The criticism of Doncic's playstyle has been magnified over the last few games, especially after what Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller said during the game last night. Barkley had a similar take to Parsons, saying that Doncic needs to get his teammates involved more for the Mavs to be successful rather than holding the ball for so long.

Miller seemed to be negative about Doncic for the game's entirety as he was on the broadcast, and Luka may be officially entering his villain era.
