Bilal Coulibaly's fit on the Dallas Mavericks

Bilal Coulibaly would likely need some time in the G-League before playing consistent minutes in the NBA.

Whenever Coulibaly makes his debut, his fit would be flawless. He would essentially be taking over Dorian Finney-Smith's role as an active defender and opportunistic player on the offensive end if drafted by the Mavs. Look for Coulibaly to play substantial minutes once he adds muscle and gets accustomed to the NBA.

Having a plus defender next to Luka Doncic will be necessary as long as he suits up for an NBA team. Coulibaly would provide just that.

He would fill a much-needed void on the Mavs.

He would be a high-level defender who doesn't need the ball in his hands to make a difference. Look for Coulibaly to follow a similar path to playing as Jaden Hardy and Josh Green followed in their rookie seasons.

Both players spent time in the G-League and played more so towards the end of the season. Hardy played in 48 games, while Green played in 39. If Coulibaly cracks 50 games, that would be counted as a success.

I would expect Coulibaly to average around six points and three rebounds while demonstrating his versatility and motor on defense.
