1. Klay Thompson is ready to win a ring this year

The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a tough five-game series loss in the 2024 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. Klay Thompson is coming off a disastrous scoreless 2024 Play-In Tournament game. But together, they are ready to win a championship.

Thompson already has four NBA championships on his resume and can pass NBA legend LeBron James' four titles if he wins a championship in 2025.

"You want to have that pressure, and you want to have expectations from the fan base, the city that, you know, we want a winner," Thompson said. "That's what attracted me too. I'm not really into breaking more shooting records. I just want to win at this point. That's what I learned at Golden State like, everyone's got to make sacrifices to win at the highest level."

Thompson has championship pedigree and has always been an unselfish player. Thompson knows that he might have to play less minutes, or score less, and play more of a leader role. But, the Mavs and Thompson care about one thing, and that is winning.

"I'll make sacrifices for the team," Thompson said. "But, as long as we play winning basketball, that's all that really matters."

Thompson seemed ecstatic to be a Maverick during the entire press conference, and he is ready to get to work. He was getting shots up with P.J. Washington within minutes of his presser ending, and this season has the potential to be special.

The Dallas Mavericks fans, players and the rest of the organization is super excited to have Thompson on the team with a chance to compete for an NBA championship. Thompson has already spoken highly of what it will be like living in Texas to go along with playing the Mavs. For the latest news on the Mavericks, stay tuned.
