2. Zach Lavine

Back in January, Tim MacMahon reported that people in the Mavs' organization enjoyed the work of Zach Lavine. It was even hinted that Dallas could be in the mix for Lavine if he were to get traded.

Now, BetOnline ranks Dallas as the sixth best odds to land the Bulls star.

This is a trade I could see the Mavs making, assuming desperation begins to kick in. Lavine is a two-time All-Star and NBA Slam Dunk Contest Champion with plenty of firepower.

If Dallas were to make a trade for him, this would be like the Lauri Markkanen proposal in that it would only increase the team's offensive firepower. For his career, Lavine has averaged 20.5 points per game while shooting 46.5 percent. He had his best season three years ago when he poured in 27.4 points per game.

The Bulls star is an offensive scorer who gets most of his points at the rim. He excels at attacking the basket and is also a great shooter.

Pairing him next to Luka Doncic would allow the pair to create various opportunities. Imagine Luka throwing lobs to Lavine; this would be exciting to see.

With the Mavs' front office already attracted to Lavine, there's no question there is a small probability of him coming to Dallas (although it doesn't seem likely as he is not a great defender).
