4. Jarrett Allen

Another center the Mavs could swing the fences for is Jarrett Allen. NBA Analysis Network's James Piercey proposed a trade that sent Allen to the Mavs for Tim Hardaway Jr., Josh Green, and the 2027 first-round pick.

Assuming the trade ever happened, it would give Dallas a true rim protector. Allen is a hands-on defensive player who has averaged 1.6 blocks over the past five seasons.

He had his best season two years ago when he made the 2022 All-Star team. That year, he averaged 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds. Last season, he tallied 14.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

Pairing Allen alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving would allow the team to do what they do best and thrive in pick-and-roll situations. In January, Kevin O'Connor ranked the top pick-and-roll duos in the league. It was no surprise he had Doncic at the No. 1 and 3 spots.

Now, imagine Doncic leading a pick-and-roll sequence but with a dominant center like Allen. This would allow the team to space the floor and leave players open.

Remember, it wasn't that long that Cleveland was on the fence about trading Allen. However, during the offseason, it was hinted that the Cavs were more open to trading him. What might a Dallas deal look like?
