5. Negative - Time is ticking with Luka Doncic

One concern among Dallas Maverick fans has been whether or not Luka Doncic is becoming disgruntled in Dallas. With last year's waste of a season, it's becoming clear to Nico Harrison and the front office that Doncic isn't a guaranteed Maverick for the remainder of his NBA career.

In past seasons, the Mavericks have failed to surround Doncic with a competent roster. Last season was a great example of this, as the Mavericks didn't even qualify for the Play-In Tournament.

This next season could prove costly for the Mavericks if they fail to make a playoff appearance again. The Mavericks have had a relatively positive offseason with a number of great additions, but if the Mavs run into any roadblocks during this year and next year, don't be surprised if Doncic calls it quits and requests a trade out of Dallas.

On the bright side, this is arguably the best roster with which Doncic has been surrounded. With teammate Kyrie Irving next to him, the two can expect big things from this coming NBA season. Plus, additions like Grant Williams and Derrick Jones Jr. will be perfect fits alongside Doncic and could make watching Maverick basketball a lot more fun compared to last year's dreadful season.

If Doncic finds success again next year, it will ease the minds of Mavs fans who are panicking due to the previous season's failures. Doncic will have plenty of expectations on his shoulders, but a much-improved roster will make his life easier.
