1. Josh Green

No Mavericks player improved their trade value more than Green. There were questions about his role and fit after his first two seasons in the NBA. The 6’5 wing played just 445 minutes as a rookie, and he was played completely off the floor in the playoffs in year two. Green was hesitant to shoot, so the Jazz left him wide open in the first round.

The 22-year-old put in a ton of work on his game, and it shined through in his third NBA season. Green’s jumper looked smoother and he found confidence as he made 40.2 percent from 3-point range this season. He showed some ball-handling and playmaking chops too.

Could Josh Green become a modern 3-and-D wing that is a tertiary creator and ball-handler? His defense, playmaking, and jumper still need work to get there, but the massive improvements from the 22-year-old will give teams optimism that he can do it.

The Dallas Mavericks want to upgrade their roster this summer as they look for the necessary pieces to build a title contender around Luka Doncic. Josh Green could be a key piece of any trade after he raised his floor and ceiling with his play.
