The Dallas Mavericks pulled off a shocking upset when they defeated the top-seeded Phoenix Suns in the second round of the playoffs. Luka Doncic was incredible in the series as the Mavs lost the first two games and trailed 3-2 in the series before coming back to advance to the conference finals.

The Suns had the best regular season record in the league by eight games last year. The combination of Chris Paul and Devin Booker made Phoenix the best fourth-quarter team, and they became notorious for their comeback wins. Dallas neutralized both CP3 and Booker as they blew out the Suns, and did not give them a chance to pull off a late win in the final two games.

Phoenix will not have to wait long for their shot at revenge as they face the Mavericks in the season opener for both teams on Oct. 19, according to Shams Charania. The full schedule is slated to be released on Wednesday, but it is the second game that fans can already mark on their calendars. Get the latest here.
