Co-star Dallas Mavericks should target to pair with Luka Doncic: 4. Pascal Siakam

Siakam is coming off arguably the best season of his career as he averaged 22.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.3 steals in 37.9 minutes per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 34.4 percent on his threes, and 74.9 percent from the free-throw line. The 28-year-old forward showcased his versatility as he led the Raptors in win shares as Toronto returned to the playoffs after ending a seven-year postseason streak in 2021.

Pascal Siakam is the type of big man the Mavericks should be targeting. He is not a great rim protector, but there will be seven-footers that block shots available for the veteran minimum. Siakam is the perfect stretch five for the postseason. He has averaged 22.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game over the last three seasons combined, and the 6’9 forward can shoot, make plays, and rebound.

Siakam has two years and $69.6 million left on his contract, so the 28-year-old would likely need to try to force his way to Dallas. The Raptors reportedly shopped him at the deadline in a potential Domantas Sabonis trade, and Siakam could be made available again this summer.

It would be difficult for the Dallas Mavericks to win the bidding, but Pascal Siakam would be a fantastic fit next to Luka Doncic as the team attempts to jump into title contention.
