Dallas Mavericks free agent target to watch the rest of the season: 1. Kyle Lowry

The Raptors appeared set to trade Lowry away to the highest bidder at the deadline, but it passed without a deal. Does that mean he will finish his career in Toronto? Will he demand a sign and trade to help the Raptors going forward? There are plenty of questions surrounding Lowry.

The 35-year-old checks all the boxes for the Mavericks. He could take the ball out of Luka’s hands and help lighten his workload. Lowry is an outstanding playmaker and passer that will run the second unit. He can score and play above-average defense. Over the last eight seasons, Lowry has connected on 37.7 percent of his 3-point tries too.

The veteran is no stranger to playing off another point guard as the Raptors have Fred VanVleet. He would fit seamlessly next to Luka Doncic and give Dallas one of the best backcourts in the league. Lowry was the leader of the Raptors 2019 NBA championship team. His leadership and experience could be massive for the Mavericks.
