Dallas Mavericks grade going into All-Star break: Tim Hardaway Jr.

Hardaway Jr. has shifted to the bench, but he remains a key piece for the Mavs. He is their third-leading scorer averaging 16.4 points per game. The Mavericks win when THJ is knocking down shots.

First-half grade for Dallas Mavericks wing Tim Hardaway Jr: B+

Hardaway Junior’s numbers are up, but the Mavs need him to be more consistent. Dallas has won 12 of the 19 games where THJ has scored 16 or more points. The 6’5 wing must consistently knock down open looks.

Dallas Mavericks grade going into All-Star break: Dorian Finney-Smith

Finney-Smith missed nine games in January in the health and safety protocols. After two games to get his legs, Doe-Doe has averaged 7.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 0.9 steals in 33.7 minutes per game. He is shooting 37.1 percent on 3-pointers during that stretch.

First-half grade for Dallas Mavericks forward Dorian Finney-Smith: B

Finney-Smith has been knocking down his threes during the team’s recent hot streak. The Mavericks need him to be a 3-and-D option. Doe-Doe always brings the defense, but his long range shooting has been inconsistent this season. Hopefully, the hot streak continues after the All-Star break.
