What could the Dallas Mavericks get for Kristaps Porzingis in a trade?

It only takes one team to believe in the immense potential of Porzingis. That team could dream of a healthy KP leading them on deep playoff run. The Mavs would have to find the right team that would give them a strong return.

Ian Begley reported on Feb. 23 that the Mavericks discussed Porzingis with the Golden State Warriors. That trade would center around Andrew Wiggins or Kelly Oubre Jr. Neither player offers the star potential or fit next to Doncic that KP does when he is on the court. Fans should not count on a deal coming together there.

Pascal Siakam is off to a slow start this season. Could the two teams swap struggling big men? That is the type of deal that would interest the Dallas Mavericks. They are unlikely the find that partner, though.

Mavs should not trade for Andre Drummond. Next

If the Mavs decide they have to trade Porzingis, the return likely includes a few young role players and a pick. Dallas would have to take a step back short-term to find their desired build around Luka Doncic. Fans should not expect that to happen, but stay tuned because the trade rumor mill is just starting to heat up.
