Luka Doncic drops 42 as Dallas Mavericks top Golden State Warriors

Doncic came out hot in the third with ten points, but coach Carlisle decided to give him an early rest again. The Mavs were up four as Luka had 31 points as he headed to the bench with 5:14 left in the third. Golden State cut the advantage to one as Luka returned with less than two minutes remaining. Dallas pushed it back to five heading to the final quarter.

Carlisle left Doncic on the floor to start the fourth, and he quickly found Dwight Powell with an incredible pass.

Luka drilled a 3-pointer with less than five minutes remaining to give him a new season-high in scoring.

He nailed another three to tie his career-high with less than a minutes to go.

It was a wild game with incredible performances from both superstars. Stephen Curry could not miss as his 57 points kept the Warriors in the game. Luka Doncic finished with 42 points, seven rebounds, 11 assists, and one steal in 38 minutes of action. The Mavs outscored Golden State by 18 with their superstar on the floor. Dallas was happy to walk away with the win on Feb. 6.
