Dallas Mavericks starting lineup, rotation with Maxi Kleber back
By Tyler Watts

Dallas Mavericks starting lineup
Coach Rick Carlisle used his best defensive lineup against the Suns on Feb. 1. Expect that to continue most nights as the Mavericks are prioritizing improving on that end of the floor this season.
PG: Luka Doncic
Doncic is the offensive engine. He could average a triple-double per game this season as the 21-year-old continues to improve. Fans have seen his defense take a major step forward in 2021. Luka needs to get his jumper sorted out for the Mavericks to make a serious run, though.
SG: Josh Richardson
Richardson had his best game of the season on Monday night against the Suns. He missed nine games in the health and safety protocols but is returning to form. The Mavericks need JRich to be aggressive on both ends of the floor and bring perimeter defense this season.
SF: Dorian Finney-Smith
Finney-Smith is still working his way back after missing nine consecutive games in the health and safety protocols. He needs to be a 3-and-D wing for the Mavs to vault up the standings.
PF: Maxi Kleber
Kleber only played 18 minutes in his return, but expect him to be over 25 in short order. They showed flashes of what this starting unit can be when everyone is firing on all cylinders. Give Kleber some time to get his legs back after an extended absence.
C: Kristaps Porzingis
KP came alive in the fourth quarter on Feb. 1. Hopefully, that is the first sign of him turning a corner and shaking off his rust after missing significant time with a knee injury. The Unicorn needs to get his 3-point shot dialed in and be the Mavericks top rebounder.
