Luka Doncic secures triple-double as Dallas Mavericks top Pacers
Doncic had his alley-oop connection with Kristaps Porzingis locked in against the Pacers. See two beautiful throw downs from the third quarter below.
Luka just missed securing his triple-double in the third. He played all 12 minutes to push his total to 31 for the game. Doncic had 13 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists as the Mavericks held a two-point entering the fourth.
KP and the second unit ballooned the lead to ten points as Luka returned with 7:26 left in the final period. He quickly finished off his triple-double by finding Willie Cauley-Stein inside. It made Doncic the second-fastest player in NBA history to record 30 career triple-doubles.
The Pacers were sending double teams all night and trying to force the ball out his hands. Luka still managed to produce 13 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, and one block as the Mavericks snapped their losing streak with a 124-112 win in Indiana.
Dallas is now 7-7. The fact that they are .500 after dealing with absences in every one of their first 14 games is impressive. The Mavs are back in action on Friday night as they travel to San Antonio to face the Spurs. It is the first of a back-to-back set for the Mavericks. Expect another monster performance from Luka Doncic against the division rival. Do not miss it.
