Dallas Mavericks: Luka Doncic nets 28 in loss to Bucks
By Tyler Watts
Luka Doncic leds Dallas Mavericks back in the second half but they fell short vs. Bucks
Doncic was showing off in the third quarter. He made this beautiful floater to kick things off.
Luka followed with this incredibly difficult make in the period.
Doncic played all 12 minutes in the third as he pushed the Mavericks within three points to close the quarter. The 21-year-old superstar had 17 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, and three turnovers heading into the final period. It was not Doncic’s best shooting night, but he kept the Mavs in the game.
Luka did not get much rest as he re-entered with 7:25 left in the fourth, and Dallas trailing by two. The superstar went right to work. He had seven quick points before finding James Johnson for a 3-pointer which gave the Mavs the lead with just over three minutes remaining.
The Bucks punched back to grab the win, though. It was an impressive comeback from the short-handed Mavericks. Luka Doncic finished with 28 points, 13 assists, and nine rebounds. Dallas fell short because of rebounding and missed free throws. They will continue to work on those issues.
The Dallas Mavericks are back in action on Sunday afternoon versus the Chicago Bulls. It is an early 2:00 p.m. CT tipoff. Expect another monster performance from Luka Doncic. Do not miss it.
