What to expect from Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis in the 2020-2021 season

Following a handful of games to get back in rhythm, expect Porzingis to be outstanding. The Mavericks helped the Unicorn unlock the best version of his play last season. Over the final 20 games of the 2019-2020 campaign, he averaged 26.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game on 46.1 percent shooting from the field and 37.1 percent on his threes. That is the type of production fans can expect from a healthy Porzingis.

It will not be all sunshine and rainbows. KP will sit on one-half of back-to-back sets and miss the occasional game to rest as part of the Mavericks strategy to keep him healthy for the playoffs. Some nights his shot won’t be falling, but fans know Zinger makes a massive impact on the game regardless.

Supporters should expect a monster season from Kristaps Porzingis. The 25-year-old is just entering his prime. The Dallas Mavericks added perimeter defense to make his life easier on that end of the floor. Luka Doncic will create open looks for the Unicorn. Expect KP to cash them in as he has an outstanding second season in Dallas.
