Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic secures triple-double in win versus Orlando

Doncic struggled in the third quarter. He failed to score as the Magic flipped the script early in the period. As the Mavericks superstar headed to the bench, Tim Hardaway Jr. got hot. The 6’5 guard had 13 points over the final four minutes of the third to push the Mavs lead to seven before Doncic drilled this buzzer-beating triple to send it to the final period.

Luka got the two rebounds and two assists necessary for his second triple-double of the season as the Mavericks topped the Orlando Magic on Jan. 9. He finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, ten assists, one steal, and two blocks in 35 minutes of action on Saturday. The Mavericks superstar was just seven of 20 from the field, but he connected on three more 3-pointers.

It was not Doncic’s best game, but Tim Hardaway Jr. and Trey Burke combined for 65 points to lift the Dallas Mavericks over .500 for the first time this season.
