Dallas Mavericks get people registered to vote

The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a successful season. They were back in the playoffs for the first time since 2016, saw the superstar breakout of Luka Doncic, and proved they were a threat by pushing the Clippers to six games in the first round. The Walt Disney World bubble gave the young Mavs valuable experience and raised expectations. Dallas wants to be title contenders next season.

The restart has allowed basketball to return while keeping the focus on other issues. Players are wearing social justice messages on the backs of their jerseys. The play was halted for a few days as everyone decided how to best move forward while keeping the focus on the issues.

One thing everyone can do to make change is to get out and vote. The Mavs are doing their part there. They held a voter registration event on Tuesday. Let us take a look at the latest.

Dallas Mavericks get people registered to vote

They held a drive-thru registration that allowed approximately 200 people to get registered. Mavericks greats Michael Finley and Rolando Blackman were on hand helping with the event. Those that attended also got some Mavs swag. Fans can see a few photos below.

Voters will be able to cast their ballots at the American Airlines Center on election day. Hopefully, everyone gets registered and makes their voice heard.

Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall had this to say courtesy of Mavs.com.

"“People literally died so that we could vote. We have to remember that. We have to honor that. Let’s make sure they didn’t die in vain.”"
