Dallas Mavericks: Vince Carter joins ESPN as an analyst

The Dallas Mavericks signed Vince Carter in 2011 as part of their roster rebuild following their championship season. The Mavs jumped at the chance to add the eight-time All-Star. Carter reinvented his career in Dallas by going from high-flying dunker that scores 20-plus a night to a steady role player willing to come off the bench.

Vinsanity also hit one of the most iconic shots in Dallas Mavericks history. His incredible game-winning buzzer-beater in game three of their first-round playoff series against the Spurs in 2014 is unforgettable. It was the team’s only one in franchise history until Luka Doncic sank his against the Clippers in game four.

Vince Carter left Dallas to join the Memphis Grizzlies after that season. The 43-year-old was robbed of his last few NBA games by the pandemic. He retired this season after 22 years in the NBA. Carter did not wait long to line up his next gig, though. Let us take a closer look.
