The only thing that could push the Mavs into making this move would be Giannis, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and other marquee 2021 would-be free agents agreeing to long-term deals with their current teams. Dallas might then kick the tires on adding CP3. What are the chances of that? Slim to say the least.

Fans should trust in the Mavericks front office. They traded for Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Finding the finishing pieces that make Dallas a title contender will happen.
