Why Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic should win Bubble MVP: 1. Unmatchable stat line

Doncic is averaging 32.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 11.3 assists per game from Orlando. He is in the top five in all three categories including leading the league in dimes. Luka is the only player in the bubble averaging a triple-double much less a 30-point one.

James Harden is the only man that can even compete with Doncic’s line. The Rockets star is averaging more points per game, but just 8.5 assists and 6.7 rebounds. Luka has a massive advantage in the latter two categories.

No player can match his stat line. Fans scoffed when I said Luka Doncic would be the NBA’s best player in Orlando. The young superstar is backing up my claim, though. No player can put up those numbers. Expect them to only go up as Luka continues to evolve his game.

Before the knock comes on his defense, Doncic has shown improvement on that end of the floor. It is still a work in progress, but there is hope that he can transform into an above league option when he reaches his prime.

There are a few other players in the running for Bubble MVP. Damian Lillard, James Harden, Devin Booker, and T.J. Warren have all made a case. Luka Doncic should take home the honors, though. Stay tuned to see how it all plays out from Walt Disney World.
