Why Lakers duo tops Dallas Mavericks: 3. LeBron James and Anthony Davis

Each of the top three duos is elite. Fans could make the case that both players are top 20 in the NBA right now. That made the decisions extremely difficult.

LeBron and AD were third because their numbers were slightly worse on the court together. Incredibly elite, but just below the remaining two duos. The pair has a net rating of 10.3 and a true shooting percentage of 58.4. Only six teams have a net rating of over 5.0 this season. The Lakers with James and Davis are more than double that mark.

Davis has improved his play in the playoffs over the limited sample in his career too. That makes the Lakers one of the title favorites in Orlando. Everybody knows LeBron will be firing on all cylinders come playoff time.

The Lakers will be without Avery Bradley are after he opted out. Rajon Rondo broke his thumb at practice and is set to miss time. That likely means point LeBron in the restart. That will be another fascinating storyline to watch during NBA Disney.

This duo could easily rank first. The Lakers have the second-best record in the league and could be considered the favorites to win the championship.
