Ranking Dallas Mavericks impact if they miss NBA Orlando: 11. Boban Marjanovic

Marjanovic is coming off the best game of his career. He had 31 points and 17 rebounds to lift the Mavs over the Nuggets in the final contest before the suspension.

That fantastic performance aside, Boban remains a matchup option. He will come in and change the game with his sheer size. The 7’4 center can be played off the floor if the opposition is going small.

Marjanovic could have a significant role in a playoff series or not get any minutes at all. It will depend on who the Mavericks matchup against in Orlando.

Ranking Dallas Mavericks impact if they miss NBA Orlando: 10. Willie Cauley-Stein

The Mavs needed a center after Dwight Powell’s season-ending injury. They quickly traded a second round pick to acquire Cauley-Stein from the Warriors.

Trill has produced fantastic numbers for the Mavericks so far, but the playing time has been inconsistent. Training camp 2.0 will give the 26-year-old time to get acclimated with the Mavs.

Expect Cauley-Stein to be the primary backup center in the playoffs. He can protect the rim and rebound while standing out as a roll man. That fits everything coach Carlisle asks for from his centers.
