What now?

Now, the AAC is being used as a testing site for novel coronavirus. There will be no tense playoff games for who knows how long. Many potential remedies have been floated, though.

Maybe the league will have abbreviated playoffs in Las Vegas. Curves appear to be flattening there. It is also the host of the NBA’s summer league.

Maybe the league will just wait it out entirely and begin playing without fans in the stands. Or, could Adam Silver pull the nuclear option and write off what is already a tarnished season?

Whichever way, the maniacal super-fan that I am will be here, perusing through NBA League Pass as my sports jail sentence wanes on. The only silver lining to draw from it all is that this may be an offseason in which we don’t have to watch the Mavericks swing, lose control of the bat, and shatter a fan’s glasses on a big fish free agent. No, the Rangers took care of that for us.

In some way, shape, or form, the Mavericks will be back on the hardwood in front of screaming and yelling fans before the sun dies. Until then, I will be missing sports and the Dallas Mavericks. Hopefully, the virus fades and normalcy returns soon.

Next. Will the Mavs acquire Rudy Gobert?
