The Dallas Mavericks are hoping to finish out their season. Everything is uncertain right now, but they are on pace to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2016. It would be the first time the Mavericks made the postseason without Dirk Nowitzki on their roster since 1990.

The Mavs new stars Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis have the team doing incredible things. They have the best offensive rating in NBA history. That is correct. It is better than Jordan’s Bulls and every other team. Dallas is firing on all cylinders.

They should continue getting better too. Luka is only 21 years old and Porzingis is still 24. Both men should grow plus the team will continue adding pieces around them. The Mavericks are hoping to be legit title contenders for the foreseeable future.

More. Is Luka the best player in the NBA under 25?

If that does not get your juices flowing in this difficult time perhaps this will. Monday was National Puppy Day. The Dallas Mavericks celebrated by posting pictures of their players with their dogs that fans can see below.

Many Mavs fans know Luka’s dog, Hugo, but they got a glimpse of some other furry friends today. It was cool to see.

Hopefully, you are staying safe and enjoying some time with your family right now. Be sure to be smart and try to stay healthy.
