DA played nine seasons with the Magic. He also had a stint with the Mavericks. He played in 114 games for Dallas averaging just 10.5 minutes per game. Armstrong was 36 by the time he put on a Mavs jersey.
He joined the Dallas coaching staff in 2009. DA is beloved by his players. It was awesome to see his hard-work recognized on Friday night. Armstrong went from undrafted to a starter and leader for the Magic. He remains one of the most beloved players in their franchise’s history.
