3. The Mavs win in LA and Denver down the stretch

The Dallas Mavericks have played well away from the American Airlines Center all season. They sit 18-8 on the road which is the second-best mark in the Western Conference. The Mavs are not just winning against bad teams. They have already won in Denver, Houston, Los Angeles (Lakers), Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Indiana.

It is strange because the Mavericks are only 15-14 at home. They have dropped a few head-scratchers inside the American Airlines Center too. Hopefully, Dallas can figure out its home struggles down the stretch.

The Mavs stay hot on the road, though. They are going to win in Denver for the second time this season plus beat the Clippers at the Staples Center. This is more a nod to having faith that the pairing of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis is going to take off down the stretch. The win in LA on March 16 proves the Mavericks can beat any team as they push into the postseason.

No team is excited to match up against Dallas when they are healthy. Luka is impossible to stop. Porzingis feeling good and finding his offensive rhythm makes the Mavs the best team in the NBA on that end of the floor. That leads to two road victories against two of the best teams in the West.
