5. KP averages over 20 points per game

Kristaps Porzingis has finally recovered his form. He tore his ACL in Feb. 2018 and sat out all of last season. That lengthy absence left Porzingis a bit rusty to begin the season.

Since returning from a knee injury on Jan. 21, the Unicorn is averaging 21.7 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field. Some of that was with Luka Doncic sidelined, but he dropped 27 with him in the lineup in the final game before the All-Star break.

Porzingis averaged 22.7 points per game in his All-Star season in 2018. The 24-year-old is more than capable of finding that form down the stretch.

The pairing of Luka and KP is about to take off. The Mavericks are using Porzingis as the screener in pick and rolls after the season-ending injury to Dwight Powell. The Unicorn is mixing rolling to the rim and popping out for 3-pointers. That should add another dimension to the Mavs potent offense.

He is also finding his 3-point stroke. Over his last five games, KP is shooting 40.9 percent from downtown. Expect him to continue improving his season numbers. He’s ready to reach that elite shooting status again.

Kristaps Porzingis will score north of 20 points per game down the stretch.
