3. Mavs Archives

Wanting an opinion on the modern-day Dallas Mavericks? Check. Want some Mavs history? Check. Interested in learning about former players that wore Mavericks blue? Then you are covered for an excellent one on one show with former players and current public figures that have spent time with the Mavs.

A few names that host, Mike Fraler has included on the show are Josh Howard, Etan Thomas, Dan Dickau, Bill Curley, and former referee, Tim Donaghy. This is a podcast that will give you an idea of the guest’s experience with Dallas and what they are up to in their personal and professional lives today. Formerly known as “Forgotten Maverick,” you can find this show on most major streaming platforms as well as on Twitter.

2. Mavs Step Back Podcast

I recently stumbled across this gem last year during the offseason in July. Dalton Trigg and Matt Galatzan host a fantastic show that is exclusive to DallasBasketball.com through Sports Illustrated. Listeners can expect to hear honesty and straight forward opinions with their demonstration.

Mavs Step Back has included guests Mark Cuban, Donnie Nelson, and even Texas native, Will Cain. The duo does not release a pod every day. However, listeners can expect in-depth new episodes one to two times per week. This is one for the more casual listener and not the everyday one, but we are talking quality and not quantity in this case. A well-structured show with likable personalities can dunk on a person’s ears. Which is exactly what this pod achieves.
